Poor results and tough on wallet

We bought this "Aquarium Water Treatment" from "Pet Supplies" hoping for clean, clear water for our fish tank, but unfortunately, it didn't deliver the results we were hoping for. Based on our own experience, this product didn't work very well for us and ended up being quite expensive.

Removes tannins from the pond, but not as well.

Fair price for a good product. It has worked well to remove tannins from my pond, but I recently discovered Purigen and will never go back. I will still use the air conditioner as a backup but when trying to troubleshoot a brown water issue the time and amount of air conditioning required is very frustrating. I have a drinking fountain for my cats and also a permanent filter that only needs a carbon change. I've had mixed results with carbon, which is sold at most stores. I was also wondering how effective it actually is at filtering. Although I've been using granular charcoal for less than a week, I've actually noticed a huge difference in filtration.
