Do Not Buy - Kitchen & Dining

I wasn't happy with them when I bought them and left a review. but now I want to do it again. These things are DIFFERENT and don't work. They never worked properly and now they don't work at all. look for another brand! You get what you pay for.

Don't buy this! for thermometer and timer

All the numbers flew off the dial! It's useless. I recommend buying this product for no use. The paint used has fallen off the dial and is now on the bottom of this Chinese product. Save money and buy another oven thermometer.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Bad instructions

No matter how inaccurate they are - waste of money

The thing is very inaccurate. Read what he wants. I tested it in my oven and it continued to grow. My oven temp was set at 325 but it read 450. My cake would burn if that was the accurate reading. Unfortunately I didn't keep the packaging or I would have sent it back. I do not recommend it to anyone

Pros
  • Robust construction

  • For old

Gross inaccuracy with thermometers and timers

In an oven preheated to 450 degrees, my newly purchased Acurite thermometer read 350 degrees. After placing the thermocouple probe in the oven, I found that the average oven temperature was acceptably close to 450 degrees. This means that Acurite is far from the norm. I should have given it back to Revane but instead I threw it in the trash in disgust and chalked it up to education instead of buying a cheap oven thermometer. By the way, there is no way to configure the device. This is a sealed…

The best oven thermometer to buy!

Has gone through several oven thermometers including CDN, model EOTI. I even bought a new oven (Gas Wolf Professional) because my old oven (Viking) was very unreliable and I hated cleaning it. I thought it was because of the oven as the handheld thermometer never went above 350. I bought the CDN just before buying a new oven and then decided to buy a new AcuRite to compare. When I set the new oven to 425 degrees, the AcuRite registered exactly 425 degrees. CDN registered 350 degrees. My puff…

Amazing value for money, suitable for kitchen and dining room

We keep this thermometer in the oven all the time. My wife loves to bake and was concerned our oven thermostat was not accurate so after reading many reviews I decided on this thermometer. stays, but he's been doing well since then and he's staying. Our oven turned out to be a bit weak so we now adjust the oven knob to read about 15 degrees hotter than required and my wife says she's getting better results when baking. For the price, you can't beat this deal with a stick! Would recommend to…

Taught us a lesson on oven thermometers

My wife has been baking more the past few months. She had to increase the baking time of many things she baked. We thought our 20 year old oven wasn't heating up to the right temperature. I bought this oven thermometer to test this. I set the oven to 400*F and waited for the oven to beep to let me know the oven was at the right temperature. When the notification sounded, the temperature on the Acurite thermometer was only 300* f. Wait 5 or 6 minutes and it goes up to 350*. A good 10 or 12…
