Powerful antenna, easy installation

Easy installation with included software CD. Showed SSID 2.4 and 5 GHz, connected with no problems. In my installation, a thick, powerful antenna swung at 70 Mbit/s from the router 150 meters away. almost three times more than my phone in the same place.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Outdoor

Works right out of the box

I bought this to try increasing the Wi-Fi sensitivity for my Intel Compute Stick. I will update in a few days when I can fully test it. A nice feature of this type of model is that the antenna can be removed and the HF extension can be used for other types of antennas. It was nice to find in this price range.

  • Price

  • Out of fashion

No Linux drivers in Computers & Accessories

I bought this because the description says it supports Linux. Linux drivers are not provided, you need to compile them yourself from source code downloaded from their website. However, the compilation fails when the build instructions are followed. Maybe Linux experts can get this to work with Linux, but not the average user.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • embarrassing

Broke after a short period of use (used sporadically for a few months, not all the time as it's on an old, rarely used machine). The antenna weighs a ton and is barely held in place by poor soldering. It broke first. Then after a while it just stopped working. look elsewhere

  • Confident

Just what my computer needs

Just received today and my computer is finally connecting to our 5G. For my PC I didn't have to do the install (I just finished building my PC) which they provided you with a CD and a website where you can download it. I had to install my laptop and everything works great. If you're having trouble with that, check your settings. I'm very glad I bought it and it was a great price.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • A bit torn

Boosts your signal but not enough when playing Fortnite

Product arrived quickly and easy to install. I purchased this item in hopes that it would make it easier for my grandson to get overwhelmed with bandwidth when playing games on his PC. This really helped as it was able to connect wirelessly but crashed and got stuck while playing Fortnite. This reconnected it directly to the router. I used this in another room in the house to boost the signal for the TV and it helped a lot.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

Works well and is cheap

Bought for a car without WiFi. Tested on my Intel Centrino Wireless Laptop for comparison. The new USB adapter connects at 2.4 GHz (173 vs. 144) faster than the built-in WiFi and connects at 545 GHz, which is amazing. Windows 10 requires no drivers - literally plug and play and it's great. Works great on desktop with USB 3.0 port. It took some effort to rotate the antenna, but it did it and it definitely won't fall off on its own. So far, Zoom calls have been flawless, so there haven't been any

  • New

  • Almost everything included

Absolute waste of money!

I had high hopes for this device and was hoping for a good WiFi connection. Boy was I wrong! Installation was difficult because they gave me a CD to install drivers for the product when my PC didn't have a CD player so I had to go to their website and that was the problem, then the manufacturer promised an "802.11 ac "-Connection. which means "5GHz band" but they only offered "802.11 b" which is a 2GHz band which is much worse than the 5GHz band. Gives out poor Wi-Fi speeds and connectivity and
