Doesn't work well for me for home automation devices

Unfortunately this product never connects. I've tried everything the internet has to offer for advice. I say "unfortunately" because it seems to be the only option on the market and I'm not totally illiterate technically.

Do not buy this product

Waste of money and time. None of the switches could connect after many attempts. Both quick pairing and compatible modes have been used without success. I am very disappointed as these switches would be perfect for an LED lighting project.

Works well with LED strips

Worked great to add my LED strips to Google Home. This plugged directly into the USB port on my TV. I only had to do the initial setup from a different plug as it was impossible to press the pairing button on the back of the TV, but once that was done it was able to go anywhere.

Only works with a dedicated 2.4GHz router

They only work with a dedicated 2.4GHz router. They will not work with a dual band router or 5GHz. It would be nice if it was included in the description so buyers know before purchasing the item. I don't know how they work due to connection issues.

Amazing little USB switches. .

Good for what they are - they've filled a much-needed spot in my Alexa ecosystem. I had a little trouble setting it up the first time (works better when the device is plugged in and it seems) but after that it works great! I can finally turn off the USB powered fans and lights with Alexa. Now if only I could get a stand alone language system that doesn't need internet to work!

hear feedback!

The thing is absolutely useless. Last night I spent several hours connecting it. Even read every review here and try "solutions" from a few that got it working. NONE of these strategies worked for me. I'm assuming the company is aware it's junk but decided to keep selling it for $$$. If you have any doubts about purchasing this product, please consider another option.

A bit of a hassle to set up but they still work

They're easy to set up, especially since I'm already used to Revain smart sockets. I understand why people might have problems. Even after it's set up, it won't work with Alexa until you install its skill. You'll also need another mobile app and an online account to set it up. I haven't seen any other single USB smart USB switches yet, so it gets an extra star just for existing. I bought it to turn off my HD antenna. I can power my cable and antenna through the combiner, but when I connect…
