It measures the needles in millimeters which is very good. Circular needles, not marked at all. Have that gauge of needles and you'll never have to guess the size of a specific needle.

I am a knitter of 50 years of experience and have almost every accessory you need to knit. I have 3 needle sizes but they are for US sizes only. Since many of the needles I buy in sets are European sizes and some in the smaller sizes are unmarked or very difficult to read, I needed to be able to measure those sizes as well. It's a small caliber, which makes it very handy and easy to store.

I love this needle, I have several other styles and this is by far the best! It is very accurate and has more dimensions on the smaller end of the range than any other caliber I own.
