Great for spartan runners on a budget

I ran my first sprint this summer. I had no intention of spending more than $100 on a pair of shoes that I might destroy. So I bought it as a cheap alternative. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I completed the race without even thinking about running shoes. They have held up very well and I have since used them for lawn mowing, hiking and plan to use them again for my next Spartan. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • 100% synthetic
Cons
  • Okay for the most part, but...

Big but understated shoe

I usually wear a size 12 or 12.5 on Asics. These Adidas fit me perfectly in size 11.5. They were carried over many rocks on long hikes of moderate difficulty. Feet felt comfortable, did not hurt. They performed surprisingly well despite not being a high-end running shoe. They have a very good grip and are light. I wouldn't use them for serious trail running. Inadequate sole/toe protection. They also don't breathe very well. Bought them for under $40 so good shoes for the price.

Pros
  • Ripstop upper with synthetic lining for durability and support
Cons
  • Very expensive

Runs true to size!: Trail running

I read a few reviews after I had already placed an order saying this shoe ran too big and why I thought I should send it back for a smaller size. Someone even said it was an inch longer. Well yes if you measure the shoe by the sole then it is longer than the average shoe but only because of the protruding heel. The fit in the shoe is absolutely true to size. I can't remember the last time I bought Adidas; maybe 20 years ago or so, I was more of a Nike customer. I am very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Cloudfoam midsole for walking comfort and great cushioning
Cons
  • I don't remember

They look a bit big, but are almost true to size.

They look big, but they're almost true to size. I couldn't imagine how comfortable it was to sit in winter sports socks. Glad I made the right decision when ordering to buy my regular US10 size. For winter socks, US10 fits perfectly, but for the summer season I would choose a size 1/2 smaller. I plan on buying a second pair as they offer incredible stability against roots, rocks and rough terrain. I wasn't very happy with the design but they got positive comments from my friends. They are…

Pros
  • Traxion outsole for maximum traction in all directions
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Best Half Marathon Shoe Ever

Perfect. I bought these shoes for a purpose other than shoe design, for a half marathon. I was wearing Adidas sneakers and a pair of Asics. but compare to other Adidas running shoes in the $30-$80 price range. not that much of a retail price. I think I have a pair that has an MSRP of $150, but I paid $70. last couples. Not much support for the foot. I have sole and other problems. where I need support for the foot, not just the arch. 13.1 km. Legs hurt in the first third. That makes the race…

Pros
  • Enjoy the comfort and performance of the OrthoLite insole
Cons
  • Not bad

Don't buy the best for running

I own several pairs of Adidas running/trail shoes. They are comfortable and fit me well. In addition to hiking shoes, sports shoes and so on, I always have several pairs of "everyday” shoes. It should be a pair that I would wear "every day". So I wore them once or twice a week. When I first put these shoes on it felt like there was a lot of pressure on the ball of my foot. I figured the shoes might need breaking in, so I tightened the laces and pushed through. I wore them all over my arm after…
