Attempting to solve a house wiring problem. Plugged the cords into the outlet and when I pulled them out the red wire just broke leaving the cord sticking dangerously out of the outlet. The side of the black wire that goes into the multimeter was damaged when I took it out of the box. One of the four pins was sticking out at the sharp end. The black wire is visible in the photo after I managed to put it back, but it's still deformed and will eventually scratch the connector in the voltmeter…

This kit is suitable for small DIY projects for DIY enthusiasts. The soldering iron works well, stand, a suction tool and a small set of screwdrivers and other little extras are a bonus. The voltmeter is not very well made. The pins in my kit had melted plastic in and around the point of contact on the pins.
