I ordered an updated stronger version and it works great! I use my laptop on the couch and this works great for fine tuning the angle I wanted for the laptop and keeping it stable on the soft parts of the couch. I bought this to use my overheated laptop in bed and it works great for that purpose. I needed an adjustable fan stand and this works great! Build quality is decent, but I'll admit "cheap" was my first reaction. Plastic parts are cheap, the hinges creak when you move the stand, the metal is rough in places.
