For the most part these are decent leggings. The style is attractive, they keep you warm and stretch well. However, there were a few things I didn't like. My son has a 32 inch inseam and they hit him about mid-calf. This irritates him and lowers his heat. What I also don't like is the sound. They remind me of the squeaky sound of my kid's windbreaker and I react to it like nails on a board.

I thought the fabric would be either silky and slippery or soft and cozy. They're pretty stiff and prickly - not terrible, but not very comfortable. They're also very skin tight and, like women's tights, they gather a little at the crotch, so you may need to wear them regularly. They are skin tight and if you are not comfortable wearing tight clothing in public, you can try another pair. They look and feel good, but that's not my style. I wanted to try them for purposes other than cold weather running. I'm no running apparel expert, but I've run a lot in cold weather and winter in northern Ohio. I would say I don't usually wear leg pads when the temperature is above 40F. If I decide to wear leg guards in cooler weather, I wear a pair of Rebok leggings/tights and an IceBreaker.
