An excellent solar panel repairer with a dangerous flaw! READ PLEASE!

As a solar maintenance technician I have to say this is very good. Works well. Looks like decent quality. But there is ONE DANGEROUS FAILURE IN THIS DESIGN! The connector plugs that connect to the battery have the positive side connected to the OPEN/male side of the connector! So the part that stays connected to the battery when you unplug the solar panel has EXPOSED METAL on the POSITIVE side of the battery. It is connected BACK. The positive side of the wiring must use the female side of the…

Good but not perfect

It works! The solar board is light, strong and feels durable. Hooray! On the other hand, the wire should be thick, not because it's needed for the job, but because it seems more durable and sturdy. Next, all "positive" and "negative" connections are aligned when using in a box, but polarity issues arise when using multiple connections or extensions. You will then need to do a gender reassignment or swap connections on the battery. Such inconsistencies are annoying and should not happen…

Didn't work for me

UPDATE: After a while of use this didn't reduce the need to use a regular charger. After some time I calculated that the entire electronics consumed about 1 watt (90 mA), so 24 watt hours per day. I didn't optimize the panel placement and the LEDs showed about 60% in full sun. This puts out 3 watts of power, so I need 8 hours of good sunlight to get 24 watt hours each day. Doesn't happen in Chicago where I park. I'd have to spend more (maybe a 20w panel?) to get enough power to avoid using a…
