AEM Performance Cold Air Intake System (Not CARB Compliant) Review

Easy installation, noticeable change in engine sound and improved acceleration. There's a deep, grating sound under hard acceleration, and around 2000rpm you'll hear that nice hissing suction sound you'd expect from a CAI. Love it.

I was very surprised by the engine grunt with CAI - sounds amazing! The throttle response is noticeably better. Combine md with dual exhaust (Flowmaster Super 44, 18" long 4" tips) it sounds amazing! No reference to MPG. I drive it like I stole it 24/7

The only thing that bothers me is that they might have assembled it before shipping. Pretty easy to put together, although there are a few steps missing from the instructions. Just installed today so haven't had a chance to see if it helps with gas mileage. Pleasant purr and about 5-10 additional horses. Happy with my purchase.

This CAI was my third attempt at fitting one to my brand new 2019 Ford F-150. 2 K&N was a total failure and then this one. I fitted this one, but I had to make a custom crankcase hose extension. I was tempted to get a discount but after two failed attempts with Revain and K&NI I didn't even bother. Most of the CAIs for my car are based on the same design. Hose connectors are in the wrong place! If you buy this, be prepared for changes. The CAI looks good, sounds good and the color is very close

Vehicle: 2017 Ford F150 5.0 Assembly time: 30 minutes Sound: Very aggressive with medium to high loads. Quiet as a kitten at cruising speed. Performance: Faster and lighter throttle response.
