The AEM intake system is a great aftermarket addition for any automotive enthusiast looking to improve their car's performance. Based on our own experience, the installation process was quick and easy, with clear instructions provided. The polished finish also adds a nice touch to the engine bay. However, we did notice a slight increase in engine noise at higher RPMs, but it's a small price to pay for the improved throttle response and horsepower gain. I have had this for over a year and it will be the last air intake I will be buying for my 01 Xterra. This gives a much better response than my standard airbox and can be erased on the fly. No oil means more money in your pocket. A deep raspy engine sound now and (when I'm not pedalling) the mileage improves a bit! Nothing crazy but a 1-3 raise. The polished metal looks nice but gets dusty (woe to us) and is very easy to assemble.

To be honest I was a bit skeptical if this would help my truck at all or just an advertisement. There are people who are for and against, but having experienced it myself I would highly recommend it to anyone. Delivery was fast. Detailed instructions and pictures on how to remove the factory airbox and install a new intake system are included. very easy to install, even for a beginner.
