They didn't even hold a blanket without the plastic tail coming off. Also, the connection between the hook and tail is not flush, causing the yarn to snag on the connection and making it difficult to crochet smoothly. Too much trouble to send them back and there's no way I want to replace broken hooks with more broken ones so I'll leave that warning to the consumer not to buy these hooks and buy a better brand instead.

At around $10 these hooks are amazing value. I haven't fully learned Tunisian yet, but I wanted to get a set of crochet hooks with longer cords because I love knitting oversized adult sweaters and blankets. I figured the risk would be minimal if they turned out to be awful because they're so cheap. It was worth the risk because I love these hooks! They stink. They smell so bad they can knock over a cow. These are plastic cords that smell like burned plastic like gasoline on one side. Maybe not too bad, but it's a cheap plastic smell that I hope one day will dissipate. I put them outside the night I opened them and they still stunk the next morning. They were wrapped in plastic so of course the smell didn't help. In any case, the hooks work. A bit cheeky because of the long cord, but fun to try Tunisian crochet. Haven't tried them all but
