Received today. I wanted to use it to transfer files from old hard drives to my laptop. I plugged the power cord into the surge protector and turned to retrieve the drive when I heard a hiss. I turned and saw what appeared to be a sparkler going out where the cord meets the plug. Sparks fly everywhere! I ripped out the cord and the head of the connector detached from the cord.
