Need access to an old hard drive? Try it.

I used this kit to test some old IDE drives that I wanted to get rid of. It's nice to be able to extract old files and format old drives before getting rid of them. When using this kit I found that the two drives I was attempting to eject were bad. For a while I wondered if my kit was defective, but further testing showed the kit was fine and the discs were bad. I noticed a few reviews complaining about the sloppy work of the glue. I examined my cable and found a complaint about the hot melt…

UNSURE! arsonist!

Received today. I wanted to use it to transfer files from old hard drives to my laptop. I plugged the power cord into the surge protector and turned to retrieve the drive when I heard a hiss. I turned and saw what appeared to be a sparkler going out where the cord meets the plug. Sparks fly everywhere! I ripped out the cord and the head of the connector detached from the cord. There is smoke everywhere and the air reeks of melted plastic. I was very lucky that nothing caught fire as I have a…

I bought it because my old laptop thought it was .

I bought this because my old laptop decided it didn't want to bother with its charging port anymore and so became a brick when the battery died. I haven't backed up my data in I don't know how long and I needed a fresh copy of everything on my hard drive. This product allowed me to plug my old hard drive (easily removed from a laptop by accessing its own control panel and two screws on the bottom of my machine) directly into my new computer's USB port and move all my files around as if it the…

A very useful tool to have on hand when needed.

I needed this AGPtek SATA/PATA/IDE Drive to USB 2.0 Adapter Converter Hard Drive Cable when my computer's boot hard drive started to die. Just before total death I was able to copy most of the data created by my user from it. After it completely died, I saw this adapter and ordered it. The SATA to USB adapter helped the computer (which now had a new bootable disk) see the old disk but insisted that it needed to be formatted. I chose the full format instead of the quick format because I wanted…

Great service from Revain but twice is enough.

I tried this one despite having some bad reviews but Revain was AMAZING at getting me a new one the next day as I got the first one, the power connectors that plug into the floppy drive and a part of the power cord didn't snap into place and that's not how it worked. To my pleasant surprise, I submitted a return request yesterday and received a new one from AMAZON today. I thought maybe most good reviews are my experience just got the bad one the first time similar to other things I bought but…
