Fits and pumps water.

Water pump fits and works but I hear a faint whine coming from the bearing and have concerns it will last as long as the original (60,000 miles)

Works well, good price.

Better quality (at least in my opinion) than the original water pump. This pump has a metal case instead of the original plastic case which warped and started to leak. 3 months after installation no problems.

and it works like a charm

Bought this for my 2008 Mini Cooper S Clubman for a third of the price Mini wanted and it works like a charm. It's a nightmare to install, but it's Mini's fault for coming up with its layout. The metal impeller on the pump should never fail, which is a huge advantage over the plastic impeller on the factory pump.

I made a mistake but I hope they fix it.

I purchased and installed this water pump in July 2017. It's only been 9 months and the water pump failed. (This kind of thing happens sometimes, that's okay) I've contacted customer service for a warranty replacement. I haven't received an answer from them yet, but I hope soon. I will update this review with my customer service experience.

Great pump swap!

Installation took some time, not because of this item but because you have to lift the motor up a bit to pull it out and back. the same quality as the original I took out. The kit comes with a rubber gasket so I didn't have to buy anything. I didn't use any sealant other than the sealant that came with it and the leak is gone. I hope it will give me a long life.

Long term: no problems so far

Installed on my wife's 2007 R56 hardtop about 6 months ago. Looks like a good quality part, much cheaper than buying from a mini dealer. All metal construction versus the original plastic construction (although I've read that the new OEM parts are all metal. I'm sure the engineers just had no idea the plastic wouldn't last more than 75,000 miles./sarc) The installation was much more difficult than expected. I think it took me about 6 or 7 hours. This is of course BMW's fault, not Airtex's. Ifโ€ฆ

Buyer Warning. The guarantee is short.

I bought this pump in mid-March 2018 for a 2007 Mini Cooper. When it arrived it proved to be a sturdy device. Due to the bad weather, we were only able to install it at the end of April 2018. This is a complex installation that will take several hours. Unity problems started about 3 weeks after installation. At first there were a few drops of antifreeze under the car. By mid-May 2018, this had developed into a full-fledged leak. We eventually ran out of fuel and took the Mini apart for theโ€ฆ
