Great buy 96 2.7L 4runner

So this water pump has been on my 96 2.7L 4runner for 7 months now and it works great with no problems. The price of buying online with delivery is much cheaper than my local car dealer.

Top quality water pump

This is a high quality water pump with seal. Fits my 2006 2.7L Tacoma (2TR-FE) engine. Scuff marks indicate that the Toyota name was removed to sell cheaper online (Aisin). Excellent value for money! Highly recommended.

Do not accept any replacement.

This is an OEM for most Asian cars and Toyota in particular. The supplied seal is important. Other kits have paper pads, and a good one costs another $15 to purchase. The molding is perfect and they already installed the fan bolts. Don't waste your time with $10 cheaper Chinese brands, they're Japanese.

Aisin: Toyota pump supplier

For those interested in sharpening marks, here is a comparison photo of a removed original Toyota water pump and this Aisin WPT-044. You can draw your own conclusions. (Note: Aisin cannot sell Toyota-branded water pumps.) Aside from the scuff marks, the Aisin looks identical to the original Toyota-fitted pump.

I think this pump is fake

Other reviews of his pump say the "TOYOTA" brand has been removed as AISIN cannot sell TOYOTA parts. It may be so, but look at the picture in the listing. It says "AISIN", not "TOYOTA". They don't need to be ground. Also, I compared the received part and the picture and noticed slight differences when casting. I think the pump is fake.

OEM Aisin at an amazing price

I've seen a lot of feedback from people asking if this is an OEM Aisin water pump and I can assure you it is. Put it next to an aftermarket pump from your local auto parts store and you'll see a world of difference in quality. As mentioned, the name is just crossed out. Do yourself and your Tacoma a favor and get this water pump and it will be a LOT of time before you have to install a new one.
