Not everything!: Brake system

I bought this kit only to be disappointed. The pillows were so thin. Its design was not very large. I returned it. The seller was terrible and offered very poor customer service during the return process.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • No paint required

Best brake pads for everyday use and occasional fun

Scotty Kilmer recommends these brake pads I bought these to work on my dad's truck. It's amazing stopping the truck so much better than actually when - or just wish they had a rear drum brake model

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Style 90

3 Gen Toyota 4runner

I think the pads have met my expectations after installing them with a new Brembo disc. However, I heard or still hear a kind of chattering noise during my first car ride in the morning. It could have been dampness early in the morning just because I put lube in the right places during installation.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are problems

Great pads with little brake dust

Replaced Hawk pads which I had used a few times before which were good pads but produced a lot of brake dust and didn't wear well. My wheels stay amazingly clean with these Akebono pads and I actually find that braking performance has improved greatly after a modest stop in the procedure. They are calm too.

Pros
  • shiny
Cons
  • so far so good

I've only been using it for about a week, but the stopping power is better than anything I've ever experienced. Corresponds to the Akebono advertisement I read. Only time will tell if these pads produce the limited amount of brake dust they claim. They're more expensive than the crap you get at AutoZone or elsewhere at Revain, but like everything in life, you always get what you pay for. would recommend.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • secret item

I purchased and installed these pads on October 2nd, 2015.

I bought these pads on 10/02/2015 and installed them in early November 2015. Today I examined the pads on my right wheel and inside and out the pads are cracked and there is a demarcation between the steel and the pad itself. Pad is over 50% worn after 18,000 miles and 20 months. Vehicle: Toyota Tacoma 2003 Double Cab. Driving location: Northern California. Driving: Mostly freeway but I live on top of a hill in San Francisco.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Not sure

Scotty Kilmer was right. Still exceeded expectations.

The quality of these rubbers is superior to the OEM. I'm not exaggerating. I got ACT436 pads on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 and even with the new Brembo rotors (no slots or holes). Brake pedal feel and my stopping power have improved dramatically, not to mention the extremely smooth and quiet handling. The pads took a very long time to burn through. They smelled awful for the first 500 miles and even smoked while cauterizing on the first ride. This is perfectly normal. Having ridden…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Speed
