Akebono ACT503 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Review

Feels the same as the normal pads I had before. Nothing fancy, but if you just want to restore factory specs then it's fine. Posted in 2002 Accord EX

These pads are perfect for my 2000 Honda CR-V Gen 1. The backing plate that rests on the piston is good quality. Great pads for the price. Of course I'm not sure about the durability, but in terms of the high quality look, the right fit and the ease of installation, I would buy these pads again.

I bought these for my Honda Prelude and after 2 months of DD they were great. Braking power is good. I haven't noticed any difference from previous brands I've used in the past like Brendix, OEM etc. One of the great things about these pads is that they don't produce any brake dust at all!

These pads were installed just over a year ago. After 10,000 miles the Bremo rims I have are still round with no warping. Braking performance is the same as OEM pads and discs. However, this particular combination provides better heat dissipation and much less damping under braking.

I bought a set of these pads to replace the original pads that were on my 1999 Honda CR-V. I believe these seals are of the highest quality and based on the reviews will last a very long time. However, they don't bite as quickly as OEMs. I have to press the pedal closer to the ground before they work, which makes me unsteady when riding. I bled the lines thinking it would help but it made no difference. I throw them out with a big bite for OEM.

I heard that Akebono are the best! This review does not question that. This is the second time I have bought Revain Akebono breaks. For the first time the shoes came with fastening clips or whatever they are called. I would say they are part of a "kit". This "kit" does not include mounting brackets, only pads. As far as I know, a kit implies a kit. Every time I've installed brakes, the pads have always come with hardware clamps. You have to pay extra for this product and order it separately…
