Very happy with this purchase

I fitted them to my 2001 BMW Z3. Incredible product. Brakes quickly, no squeaks, no vibrations, but the biggest benefit is the huge reduction in brake dust! Very happy with this purchase.

They go well with the 1994 BMW 530 and solve the problem.

They fit the 1994 BMW 530 well and solved the problem of brake dust on the rims. It takes a little extra pressure to stop the car, but it's steady and it's no big deal.

Cons
  • Does not fit all

If only they came. to brake system

Revain The shop said they would fit my 1998 BMW 528i (e39) but when I tried to install them I found I was the wrong size. Have returned them and will be requesting a full refund as Revane was the one who said they would fit in my car. A mechanic friend of mine really likes this brand and highly recommended them, but these pads just didn't fit.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • contact seller

Happy with 1st Timer for Akebono

I've read a lot about other pads with more stopping power but also more dust so I gave these a try. very very happy with the low dust levels compared to the stock pagid pads/everything else on my pre-transition BMW. I don't see any noticeable difference in braking performance - BMW brakes are that good anyway, they just don't have a dust problem. I didn't have 20% dust like on my standard pads. I recommend it to everyone, for every car.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • May damage

Not for BMW e39 Fits brake pads

I like Akebono and would give it 4 stars (5 if it brakes harder) but 4 is good considering it's 95% dust free is. But only three because this site says it fits my 2002 BMW 525i e39. However, ALL other websites except this one say it is NOT suitable for my machine. And I've had vibration issues after several balancing, trueing and new rotors. I've been dealing with them for about 18 months now and it was time to replace them as I did further research and found out the rear wheels should be £1239

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Makes me angry

Normal Choice for Tracked Machinery

For those looking for great value alternatives to Hawk Tracks, Performance Friction Tracks or other tracks, this review is for you. $100 for an ft/rr kit, about half the price of a Hawk or EBC kit. and about 1/3 of a set of Hawk HT-10 or Blue. As for the braking effect, they are quite acceptable. The only downside is that they wear out quickly. A set lasted only 4 days (about 8 sessions) between Thunderhill and Sonoma. I used it on a 2900 lb machine with stock rotors and calipers but with 255mm

Pros
  • Great Choice
Cons
  • Exchangeable
