That's wonderful. The pads don't bite as hard as .

No more brake dust on my AMG. That's wonderful. The pads don't bite as badly as they did on my last set, but the slight drop in performance is worth not washing the wheels every 3 blocks.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Socket required

Great brake pads!: Brake pads

These Akebono brake pads are great! Little or no dust and stopping power is good enough for general driving (haven't tried it on a track). with these pads and I had no issues with stopping power or squeaking. I would recommend these brake pads to anyone who wants great brake pads with little brake dust.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

For people who don't like dirty rims

Great product, works as advertised. Very little dust, even after three weeks of daily driving. Now my rear wheels get dirty faster with OEM pads :( Installation is routine, no surprises on my wife's Mercedes Benz C230SS MY04. Performance is comparable to OEM brake pads and no extraneous noise. I will definitely get a rear pair if the OEM ends. .

Pros
  • Keeping my fists
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great pads.: Braking system

Select Centric pads have over 50% left. I was wondering if I should even replace it but since most people were happy with this rotor I decided to give it a try. It certainly didn't make any noise and I also believe that the braking distance could have been reduced thanks to this rotor. I also replaced the stock rotor with a standard rotor (not top quality), not sure if the rotor should take the load.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some little things

Great brakes on my 06 CL600

I clocked almost 60km in the first set which is unheard of and if you knew how I drive well. You will be really surprised that I got half of it! Only criticism is that I only had a slight squeak in reverse. Never go further so who cares! They stop like nothing else I've ever used. They seem to "need to heat up" to get maximum braking, but not by much. I have just purchased a second set and will continue to purchase until I purchase my next Mercedes.

Amazing performance

This is my second set of Akebono pads for my 2001 Mercedes S Class. I have installed the first set for about 70,000 miles front and 90,000 rear. This kit has been installed in the front for 191,500 miles, the rear wheels still work. Almost dust-free, without any perceptible noise and with very good braking performance without being overly aggressive. I think they could put a slightly larger tube of lube in the kit, it's pretty tight. I have spent over fifty years in the auto repair industry and

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Powerstop Z23 and Akebono

The Akebono was fitted to my 2006 S500 front brake. I already have an Akebono pad on the back. The Akebono and Powerstop brake pads are rated DOT GG which should indicate similar cold/warm braking performance. However, the Akenono pads have much better cold braking performance compared to the PowerStop Z23. With the PowerStop pad, the cold braking power was so low that I felt dangerous. So I decided to switch to akebono even though the PowerStop had over 70% of the last material left. Both pads

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Better than Mercedes dealer replacement pads and MUCH cheaper.

Mercedes ML are notorious for squeaky pads, high cost and frequent replacement. Your dealer/thief will rob you of your money for pads, labor and their special brake paste. I tried different sets of pads before finding the right ones for these cars. Some started out quiet but quickly began to squeak. I've found that the most important factor when replacing quiet pads is the composition of the pad itself. This Bosch pad is one of two pads I would recommend, the other being the Akebono Europro. I…
