The range is very small.

installed in the dashboard of the F150 on the rear bumper. You can get a decent picture when you're in the middle of nowhere, but all over the city it's so broken and faded that you can't see anything.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Transmitter overheats and shuts down

Transmitter overheats on 12.8V DC input, temperature reaches 168.8 degrees and then shuts down, possible fire. In addition, the devices cannot be configured. So if you have 2 or 3 devices, you cannot choose another channel to transmit. Returned Units.

Pros
  • High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Minor issues

Save yourself the hassle by running a cable to the monitor

I got this transmitter to replace a broken cable in our rear view camera system. So far we haven't noticed a major loss in image quality. I will definitely buy it again for my next project. Don't worry about hard wires anymore.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Slightly dented

INTERFACE 5 GHz SUPERIOR SIGNAL TRANSFER

I ORDERED THIS UNIT WITH THE INTENTION TO INSTALL A REAR VIEW CAMERA, I ORDERED A 360 SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM WITH 4 CAMERAS. THE NEW 360ยฐ CAMERAS HAD A DIFFERENT INTERFACE CONNECTOR SO I COULD NOT USE THIS WIRELESS TRANSMITTER WITH THE NEW CAMERA SYSTEM.

Pros
  • GOOD THING
Cons
  • Update available

Died after a few months of use

Used these to switch from the RV body cam to my head unit on the dash. They burned out after a few months. Until they died, the picture quality was pretty good, although there was some noise in places. Both ends were kept in the car, protected from moisture, but they just didn't hold up. :With

Pros
  • Convert car rear view camera signal to LCD monitor via 5.8G wireless network.
Cons
  • Having problems

Easy to install in cars and car electronics

Use this for the camera I installed on the side of my 5 wheel van so no space in between is wire wagon and truck. Connected to the nearest parking light for power, so the high beam headlights must be on to work. I didn't want to constantly power the camera and transmitter. Works great for me. The transmitter is probably 20 feet from the receiver. Picture book

Pros
  • Wireless color video transmitter and receiver for car rear/front camera
Cons
  • Can't remember

Upgrade your antennas for a better signal

They work great. You can't expect a 5GHz signal to penetrate multiple layers of material. I have a camera and transmitter on the back of a truck in an RV. The signal has to pass through layers of aluminium, wood and metal to reach the receiver mounted on the truck's A-pillar. At first the signal was intermittent and unreliable. I replaced the standard antennas with these and the signal improved immediately. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J9N0GDO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8โ€ฆ
