I needed a small extension for two projects I was working on and ordered this. When it arrived I was very pleased with it, and even more so when it did exactly what I needed it to do. Since my first use, I've found other cases where it's useful. It's heavier than others I've considered and fits my dentures perfectly.
Heavy Duty Drill Extension. It is 5/8" in diameter with a 3/8" hole on one end and a 3/8" shank on the other end. It weighs 12.0 ounces, not 1.9 ounces as stated in the description. It also has 4 set screws to hold the bit in place instead of the usual 2. This is great when you need to reduce vibration when extending the bit. Note: the hole is actually 10mm (.393" not .375"), but it works fine with 3/8 bits. Worth the extra cost.
Actual 10mm (0.394") not 3/8 (0.375) which really is a big difference. When used in a drill press with a 3/8 Forstner In shank, a 10mm hole will cause the long extension eccentric to spin uncontrollably unless used at low speed as the drill bit will offset .019". is. My drill chuck actually came off my press because of the vibration and my new Freud bit fell tip first into the iron base with the weight of the chuck and extension behind. Otherwise a quality product, well finished, you just haveβ¦
