This is a good ratchet at ANY price

Sometimes we say things like "that's a good tool for $10" implying that if the price were higher we would disagree. Let me tell you that at any price point this little ratchet is a very good tool. If it had a tool trolley logo on it I would say the same. It has a great ratchet that is consistent and doesn't feel cheap. The finish is excellent, the balance is good. Of course, the functionality of having both a 1/4" drive and a bit drive in one tool is amazing. I haven't taken it apart so can't…

I'm having a hard time doing this

I'm having a very hard time giving a tool made in China five stars. Extremely difficult! But I have to do it. Just because that's exactly what he says. And I knew what I was doing. And it kills me to admit it, but it's a pretty decent little ratchet. You see, I worked as a locksmith for many years before retiring. I know a thing or two about tools. No, this isn't Snap On or Williams. Not even SC. But it's still a pretty good ratchet. I bought it specifically for its size. I have a kit that I…

Better Wiha and Wera for 1/4 the cost IMHO

I bought a set of Wiha and Alltrade/Powerbuilt 940478 ratchets for $11 and wanted to see what I like best. I bought a Wera before, got frustrated and sent it back. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I feel this has the edge given the price and if you're ok with not having a fashion brand on it. It goes to the next level when you manage to cast epoxy or slip a 4mm neodymium magnet into the bit holder. My main complaint about this device is that the ergonomics aren't very good for me…

Pros
  • tools and household goods
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
