I was looking for a waterproof mascara that can be used as a top coat over washable mascara. (This makes the washable layer last better during the day and easier to wash off at night.) In the photo I used 1 layer. This mascara looks great, it's not thick or clumpy when it comes out of the tube. I am deducting a few stars because it has an odd smell from day one. I avoided it because of the smell and used a different mascara. Side and twist the brush as you apply. Separates the lashes and coats them evenly. You also never want to pump your wand into a tube. This forces air in. Your mascara will dry/ruin faster. Stir, don't pump, so it lasts longer.

It's not fully waterproof, I'll explain. It doesn't smudge when your eyes water, but unlike other waterproof products, it doesn't stick to your lashes like glue for days. At the end of the day I just wash it off, I don't need oil based makeup removers. I have Graves' disease and my eyes are sensitive and watery so I need products that will not irritate or run when my eyes are watery, this one works well.
