Firstly, it's not one magnet on each strip, it's 5 separate magnets that are (poorly) glued and then held in place with a blue sticker. I had already removed 2 small magnets from the mount and attached them to the back of another pole. I read in a review that the sticker can be removed but to be honest it would take an incredibly long time as it is not a peel off sticker it is a glued one. It's like taking a band-aid off Bigfoot. I read this in a review but thought the manufacturer had already fixed it. nope You will need about 1 1/2 inch long drywall screws to install them. Be careful when installing them. This would easily be a 5 star product but with the hardware I received they cannot be installed period. These magnetic bars are amazing and the price is amazing. However, the supplied screws are simply too short. As beautiful as they are, if they can't be made, they're useless. IF you plan on using plastic tips to secure them, then you are SOL.
