Great craft book

This book is beautiful - it could almost be used as a coffee table! Projects are suitable for any occasion and are easily customizable. I highly recommend this book to all embroiderers regardless of skill level - it can keep you busy for the next two years!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

I was inspired. on needlework

There are color photos of each design, black and white diagrams, stitch catalogue, instructions and finishing techniques. The 15 alphabets include: Traditional, Floral, Assisi, Lowercase and Victorian. There is a conversion table "DMC" to "Anchor". The 40 designs in this book are inspirational and I'm always on the lookout for embroidery alphabets.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Mark this as the winner

Well, Brenda Case's 1993 book is as classic as I could have hoped for. It's the alphabet book that becomes a sampler. A few other motifs are used, but she adds a few simple colors here and there that complement the work beautifully. Focus is as advertised. Your samplers are made up of alphabets; historical and modern. The variety of labels alone is worth the investment. And her examples of contemporary color combinations keep the book as vibrant and full of possibilities for the next untold…

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Available in White Only
