    Good book with edition

    Only sayings are shown here, not just the alphabet, so you can put whatever you want in the sayings. It annoys me because I am happy to change my statements

    I was inspired.

    Color photos of each design, black and white charts, stitch catalogue, instructions and finishing techniques The 15 alphabets include: Traditional, Floral, Assisi, Lowercase and Victorian. There is a conversion table "DMC" to "Anchor". The 40 designs in this book are inspirational and I'm always on the lookout for embroidery alphabets.

    Mark it as a 'winner'

    Well the 1993 book by Brenda Case is as classic as I hoped it would be. It's the alphabet book that becomes a sampler. A few other motifs are used, but she adds a few simple colors here and there that complement the work beautifully. Focus is as advertised. Your samplers are made up of alphabets; historical and modern. The variety of labels alone is worth the investment. And her examples of contemporary color combinations make the book as alive with possibilities for the next untold years as it
