Well the 1993 book by Brenda Case is as classic as I hoped it would be. It's the alphabet book that becomes a sampler. A few other motifs are used, but she adds a few simple colors here and there that complement the work beautifully. Focus is as advertised. Your samplers are made up of alphabets; historical and modern. The variety of labels alone is worth the investment. And her examples of contemporary color combinations make the book as alive with possibilities for the next untold years as it is today. Brenda has a unique gift for providing opportunities to make her designs her own, and she's done that again in this book.
