Why haven't you tried ALTRA?

The quality of these shoes is really the best. Of course I've only worn them once, but they seem like the best running shoes I've ever worn. I should have bought ALTRA a long time ago. If you run trails on the balls of your feet, these shoes are for you. Probably not the best option if you are a high-heeled runner.

Terrible Design: Shoes

I've been wearing Altra and Lone Peak shoes for a few years now and love every pair before this one! The tongue is attached to the inner wall of the boot, there is no ridge on the heel to help you slide your foot into the boot without breaking your heel, which is difficult if you're like me and have wide feet . Unfortunately I went on a business trip before receiving it and disappeared for a month and couldn't return it.

Pros
  • Trail Running
Cons
  • Crumpled

LOVE these shoes: Trail Running

Love Altras! This is my second pair in this style. They run a bit small, but I knew that and ordered half a size up. The zero drop and wide toe box really make the Altras incredibly comfortable. I completely wore out my previous pair's tread after hundreds of miles of hiking and trail running. These shoes are surprisingly slippery on wet, slick surfaces, but I live in the desert so this rarely affects my enjoyment of them outdoors.

  • Running
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Toe error while trail running

Just wanted to vote for those reviewers who feel this shoe is a little too small. I love Altra shoes and have had half a dozen of them. My foot size is 10.5 and I wear a size 11. All my Altras shoes are a size 11 and the sock is perfect. But in this particular shoe, I feel pressure on the top of my big toe. I don't know if this shoe has less vertical clearance or a poorly placed seam or a combination of both. Maybe after a few wears it will get easier but they drove me crazy just sitting in…

Best gliding and gliding in shoes

They border on uselessness. Upon unboxing, I felt like walking in new dress shoes at how slippery and slippery they were, even with a hint of wetness on the floor. It was strange, I've never experienced that with running shoes. I was hoping that with a few miles and scrapes it would get better. And so it was. Minimum. Very minimal. After 20+ miles on them they still have terrible traction. I can only trust them in absolutely dry conditions. I certainly can't trust them as freeze season…
