Great for Crafting Projects!

This resin is an excellent choice for any Arts and Crafts enthusiast. As my tests showed, it's easy to use and sets quickly, resulting in smooth and durable pieces. The finished product has a stunning, glossy finish that makes it look professionally made. The only downside is that it can be a bit messy, so proper preparation and clean-up are necessary. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to create high-quality sculptures or other crafts.

Pros
  • Easy to mix and self-leveling
Cons
  • Dries quickly, leaving little time to adjust or fix mistakes.

Excellent stuff. Very thin, dries quickly.

Works great! Immediately after mixing, it becomes liquid, making it easy to pour. Also, I only mix it all at once (I don't transfer it to a second bowl and mix more) and it's shiny and non-sticky every time. One thing I want to point out that I wasn't prepared for is how quickly everything freezes. Just like the first time, I mixed it up and cooked the other ingredients and I looked back and it was already half set. I didn't time it but I would say you have 30 seconds to mix it and then maybe 1

Pros
  • Sturdy
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Suitable as a teaching resin but not for serious use

I've been looking for an alternative to Smooth-on because I pour in small batches and don't need a lot of resin and I almost use them never a full bottle of the smallest size before it goes bad so I decided to try Alumilite resin. I've heard a lot of good things about it and thought it might be worth a try considering it's not too expensive. I was pouring some castings for a model I'm working on and waiting for the recommended amount of time before attempting to eject the mold. However, theโ€ฆ
