Description of Aluminum RV Roof Trim With 3/4" Leg, 92" Length - Black Or White Color Options - Made In USA - Pack Of 2 (Black)

Taking the necessary steps to ensure that it’s in good shape will help to extend its life. One of these steps is making sure that your RV is weather-proofed. The roof trim is an important part of this, as the trim seals the edges of the filon, keeping moisture and other elements outside. Made of powder-coated aluminum, this locally sourced roof trim is durable as well as effective. Aluminum, while being flexible enough to bend to the curves of your RV, is also rust-resistant. Even though this trim sits at the top of your RV, you still want it to look good. That’s why we chose such classic colors as black and Arctic White. With the smooth finish from the powder coating and the slot for the vinyl insert, the black or Arctic White fits any style or personality, keeping your RV looking good while sealing and protecting it against the elements. Corner_Molding_Replacement

This molding was an exact fit. Except for a few inches too long. I used Seal Tape over the corner and then applied the molding as instructed. The result is a beautiful fit and seal.

Pros
  • Used it on my back roof edge, it worked great!
Cons
  • May not fit all types of RV roofs

Bad packaging all the way

Parts were as described. My problem was with the packaging, it was bad. It came in a nice cardboard tube but one end was just thin tape and the other end was a plastic plug. The rails didn’t have anything separating and nothing in the tube to keep them from sliding around. Both ends of the tube had been knocked out and rails were moving out both ends during shopping. Both ends of the rails were bent up and the face of each had some small scratches on them. I had to cut both ends off of each…

Pros
  • Good value
Cons
  • May scratch easily, leading to a less attractive appearance over time

Used for corner trim

We bought an old camper and unfortunately had to take it down to the popsicle sticks and staples it’s made of. Putting it back together, we skinned it with thin plywood. It was just 2x2 framing, insulation, and aluminum siding. When we put the aluminum siding back on, the plywood skin gave us a bigger gap at the corners to cover than was originally there, so we needed something bigger than the original 5/8 corner trim. To install, we made relief cuts at the corners, and then tapped this into…

Pros
  • Received exactly as described and in good condition.
Cons
  • Can be unsuitable for certain RV models

PROCEDURE IS IMPORTANT.

I replaced the vertical trim on the rear of my rv. At the roof about 4 inches of that trim is bent over the roof. BE SURE TO HAVE YOUR SCREW COVER INSERT IN PLACE BEFORE/WHILE BENDING THE ALIMINUM TRIM. ONCE BENT TO THE REQUIRED ANGLE PULL THE INSERT BACK TO (NOT PAST) THE CORNER, FINAL SCREW, REPLACE LAST OF INSERT. I realized I screwed up as I bent the trim around the corner and watched the insert groves close. I was able to trim the insert at the corner to make it fit. not a full fail as the

Pros
  • Easy to install and fit exceptionally well.
Cons
  • May not be available in all areas
