I've been looking for depth gauges for my drill bits for a long time. Most of them had a ring with two set screws on each side that were tightened on the drill press. It didn't work for me because the collar never tightened or moved no matter how hard I turned the set screws. Even trying to tighten enough on both sides escaped my grip. I was going to buy the same old screw in the threaded stops that almost always works correctly, but I saw them and their design and arguments for why they are better were compelling, so gave up I give them a chance. I love her! They're very easy to use, stay rock solid, and don't do the shuffling that old breaks do when you have to fiddle with them to make sure they don't slip. The idea of clamping the ring directly onto the drill with a clamping screw instead of a set screw is a MUCH better way to do it. Potentially better grip, no wobble etc etc. However this set still has a way to go. The clamp screws have very fine aluminum metric threads, which is not a good idea. Also, the slit doesn't go down the collar far enough so you can't pinch the racquet "as is". I found that by squeezing the sleeve on the drill with screw clamps THEN tightening the screw was the only…
