A great and inexpensive way to try new glazes

This is an inexpensive way to try on new glasses. 5 of them were good on my 6 Pottery 26 cone when it didn't work at all. But it's the same as what you get when you buy it from the store, only you have to pay more and drive to get there. Smokey Merlot turned out to be quite interesting, I would never have picked purple if I had picked them one by one in a store. Worth a try. Check out the site for the best ways to use each individual frosting.

Pros
  • Everything is great!

Oatmeal is definitely better than salt!

delivery was fast all my glazes arrived sealed no leakage. I noticed that in some reviews people got upset that they got textured amber and oatmeal instead of Albany's salt marsh and brown. I messaged them before it was sent and said I prefer this as the salty buff is very ugly and the oatmeal looked beautiful on everything I've paired it with. I probably would have liked the Albany brown but I really like the textured amber brown so it worked great. I will order again.

Some of the bottles were old

I think it's a great price especially if you use a lot of frosting. The variety is great and allows you to try many different colors and you can try the colors. One problem with my box that I received was 2 glazes that were unusable and when I called to complain they sent me a new box but it was a different set. And I'm not sure if the 2 originally bad glazes turned out to be bad again. I know it's not Revains fault and they are always willing to help. I can't risk using bad glazes in my work…

Pros
  • AP certified non-toxic and lead free ensuring quality, safety and health standards
Cons
  • No performance

I usually like Amaco glazes. I ordered this and a pack of 39219X, on 39219X one of the bottles had the lid open and the seal broken and some of the glaze leaking out. However, this time the 'oatmeal' was open (note the shipping box was fine), the box inside was half open. Oatmeal was not listed in the color list for one and I'm not sure how many colors actually fit the description as the oatmeal in the box was half full and I couldn't read all the other labels. I chose to keep 39219X as the…

Secrets of Success with Polycarbonate Glazes

We really liked these glazes. To us they looked like pictures. I have a feeling that those who don't like Potter's Choice frosting might not be using it the way they would like. Each glaze in this family of glazes requires a slightly different application. Many of these are float glazes, the final appearance of which varies greatly depending on the thickness of the application and the firing temperature. I successfully fired a 6 cone as recommended. I found the following resource provided by…
