Great drill but brittle

The chisel cuts very well and the diameter is correct. When starting the router, pay attention to the torque when the chisel is close to the material to be cut; I clicked a bit very lightly. The chisel is only 1/8 inch in diameter; a pair with a cutting edge leaving little metal to support the bit; as a result, the drill can easily break.

Pros
  • Overall length (L) 2
Cons
  • Some errors

Good quality cutter but no carbide

Very sharp and well made in Israel. I would like to remind you that the tip of the cutter is made of carbide, but the shank is not. Looks like HSS. When I read the heading "solid carbide" I assumed it was 100% carbide as is the case with some other 1/4" shank picks I own. It's not like this. Just a clarification for those doing the same thing. Assumption.

Pros
  • Height of cut (B) 7/16
Cons
  • Requires rosette

Excellent router bit, ideal for cutting circles in plywood

I use them to cut round holes in 3/8" Baltic Birch plywood with a Ridgid compact router and a Rockler circular die Surprisingly, I can cut a circle in one pass - at the full 3/8" depth and at the highest RPM - without the cutter getting stuck. When the cut is complete, the bit is still cold to the touch. The edge quality is great very good , little to no sharpening required - see photo In fact it gives me better quality than the Whiteside spiral chisel I also own: the up cut chisel gives some…

Pros
  • Diameter (D) 1/8
Cons
  • Not sure
