This pump works very well and is worth the money. I wouldn't recommend keeping it in the water as the metal at the base of the pump starts to corrode very quickly. When the pump is not in use, it is best to keep it dry.

I connected it to a 12 volt car battery to drain a 50 gallon pond. it emptied within minutes. Now it is connected directly to the large solar powered pool pumps. I have an old model from 2 years ago that still works with a direct connect solar panel configuration.

The first one was damaged but the replacement arrived well and works well. He was able to pump out the flooded storm shelter. I used a garden hose to pump straight up about 8 feet and then down the hill a little another 40 feet. I'm planning to add a small solar system to connect this pump and maybe a float with a switch to make everything automatic.

Excellent pump with easy cable and hose connections. I set mine up to work with a solar power supply so I don't have to run wires. I have a timer and it is very reliable. I actually use it to water plants over a solar powered water butt in a remote garden and with a little wiring knowledge and a DC plug adapter it's perfect for that.

It seems that a submersible pump can cope with getting wet? Not so with this little gem, which rusted within days and became completely useless after multiple uses over the course of a month. The screws are rusted, the body is rusted. It's amazing they haven't figured out a way to rust plastic. Garbage. Unless you are looking for a disposable submersible pump, in which case this could be the one for you.

So . I'm one of those people who rarely give anything back to Revane. If the item is of high value, I will send it back. Pump €40? I wouldn't care. Well here is my exception. For real? Overall this pump does a pretty good job of moving water in a remote pond. The unit has a regular length cord, but for my purposes it would be nice to add an extra 10 feet. I wired it directly to (3) 100 watt 12 volt solar panels. I was surprised to see that it only works with one panel. For the price it works but very picky which garden hose to allow. With plastic bottom end connectors, some brands may work and bolt on, while others will not bolt on at all. I haven't had a problem with any of the higher end metal fitting garden hoses. When purchasing this pump, remember that any metal connector will work. I replaced my 110v pond pump the moment this pump arrived. I tested it on my 2100w solar panels and it worked straight away. The pump has never failed. Its orange handle is visible at the bottom of the pond, making it unprofessional for a pond. It's a bit unwieldy, but it saves me money on my electric bills and doesn't get as many things stuck in the pump as my pond pump does.
