Good material but too small

I love the material but it's so small. My 5 year old usually wears a size 5T or XS. I saw in reviews that it ran small so I ordered a size small. I couldn't even try to attack him. It fits my 2.5 year old perfectly except the handles are too long so I roll it up. I will order a large one and see if it fits my 5 year old. The photos show my 2.5 year old in a small size. He is 30 pounds 37.5 inches in the 60th percentile. My 5 year old, who couldn't put it on, weighs 51 lbs 48 inches.

Pros
  • works so little
Cons
  • Small

Terrible quality in my rating

My son has been wearing it once a week for about 5 weeks and he has stretched so much he can't wear it anymore. The quality is terrible. After two washes it became transparent. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • does the job
Cons
  • VERY small, the size chart is wrong

Took a week - my new review

Everything looked good at first, but after a week in the West the fabric stretched a lot. It went from a perfect fit almost to the knees.

Pros
  • Provides an extra layer of warmth when the temperature starts to drop
Cons
  • Missing information about the specific fabric the rashguard is made of.

Strange last review

However, the material is excellent, the shirt fits very strange. my body is normal I don't look like a pear or anything. But where the sleeves meet the shoulders, they're twisted or something. It just doesn't fit. Uncomfortable and short sleeves.

Pros
  • Small
Cons
  • My son usually wears 14 in shirts. I ordered XXL in this rashguard. It barely fit my nephew who wears a 10.

Super small: my rating

I ordered M (8) according to the tag and it fits like a 5/6. My child wears a size 8 or medium in all clothes and is usually skinny so I would order at least a size or two. The quality looks good.

Pros
  • Perfect fit for my child.
Cons
  • The sizes are small but the arms are long.

New rating too small

It's so small! I ordered the size Large as it's my son's size that boys are supposed to be by the age of 12. This large fits my little nephew who is a size 6. The size is terrible.

Pros
  • The quick-drying design keeps your little one comfortable even after they get out of the water.
Cons
  • Some customers report that the material is too thin and prone to tearing.

Mileage is very short! in my rating

Ordered 2 sizes larger than my son usually wears. It's so small he can't even put it on. He's a slim tall kid and I've never found anything that's too small for him, especially when I've ordered 2 sizes up.

Pros
  • My grandson swims in it every day.
Cons
  • I ordered a large for my 10 year old son who is 4ft 7" and about 90lbs. It was too small, I am sending it back.

SIZE! my pros and cons

The product is great but it is 2 sizes too small. My son is 9 and weighs 83 kilos. I order it in medium size. It was too small I had to exchange it for a very large one and it fits perfectly! .

Pros
  • Will not fall or shrink after washing, ensuring long lasting durability.
Cons
  • Black absorbs more heat and is therefore less suitable for outdoor activities in summer.

Nice but runs small

Bought this for a 4.5 year old and ordered an XS (luckily got it instead of a 5T) and it fit him . My son is not very tall and weighs about 43 pounds and size XS fits him. It was cut close enough to his body that it didn't ride up, but most importantly it offered excellent sun protection. He was in the sun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and never complained that he felt unwell and had not burned himself. I would buy again but be careful with the size. UPDATE REVIEW: Bought 5 months ago and already used

Pros
  • Rash Guard Shirts
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Lasts June to September with moderate use

later As another user pointed out, this rashguard will only last through the summer if you take good care of it and don't use it every day - and even then, those days are numbered. I bought this rash guard for my son as we swam a lot over the summer and I have to say I am disappointed with the durability of this garment. He has last year's Body Glove Rashguard for comparison which we are rotating and the Body Glove Rashguard is still in great condition! It's just getting a little small for him…

Pros
  • Clothing
Cons
  • I'll add

Wears out quickly

Bought for my sons in early June. In the summer they swim once a day, and by the end of July these shirts were so worn that they were unusable. One was so stretched it was literally dangling off my son's shoulder. We never washed them in the washing machine, they were only used daily in the pool. My kids haven't done anything crazy to stretch them. They just lost their shape. In a way, the low price means I can't get too upset that I've been wearing them for almost two months. On the other…

Pros
  • Swimming
Cons
  • Some little things
