my son is small for his age, athletic but skinny, and according to the size chart he was small. I ordered a medium even if it was a compression shirt it would be too small - waste of time/energy and now we have to go back. The sleeves are really long but tight and even dry, he couldn't put them on and take them off. disappointed with the size.

Ordered an M for my young son who normally swims between sizes and medium on him and it was too tight and wouldn't budge. Put it on my 4 year old brand new and it will barely fit him and he has to roll up his long sleeves. Order in advance! I would have sent it back but we were on vacation when this all happened.

I don't like that all kids clothes come in so many different sizes, so this theme isn't limited to Revain Essentials. My son will grow into it but the sleeves are very long and the shirt is baggy making it difficult to swim (like heavy clumsy fins that don't allow for a better swim). I bought him another one, a smaller 2T, which I will use until he grows up.

It offers excellent sun protection. The size is accurate. The small size fits my 5 year old (tall and skinny) very well. The downside is that it rests on the sand. He placed it on a very sandy lake (Lake Michigan) and found it impossible to remove the sand from the material. (Small spots on white.) Well I highly recommend it but only as a pool shirt or just as a sun shirt. Not for sandy water.

My son needs one of these every year as it grows like weeds and is so white it glows lol. This is great for protecting my baby's skin when they want to have fun in the water and in the sun.

It looks like a nice rashguard but it's so small my son wouldn't even try it on. We would send it back but it's quite comfortable for his sister who is three sizes smaller.

March 2022. I don't know if other reviewers have stated a different manufacturer or similar, but as of 2022 these rashguards are true to size. I ordered the larger sizes because I read the reviews. Order the current size that your children are currently wearing.

Bought 3 rashguards for a trip to Hawaii. They need body protection from coral, sun, wind, sand and other hazards. Worked great. Fits our 11 year old well. Good bye.

I bought this for my son but it only lasted about a week before it stretched so much we had to replace it. Admittedly used every day by the pool and dried in the sun but still very disappointed with the quality.

It was good. true size. But after 4 months of use (my son used it once or twice a week for swimming lessons) suddenly the elasticity was gone. The material fell apart and the top part dangled. The strangest. I don't think I will buy this brand again.

My preschooler is almost 4 and about 40 pounds wearing 4/5T on top. I ordered an XS which is about a 5 according to the size chart. They were SUPER tight and difficult to put on. Definitely runs small and I would recommend going at least a size up, maybe even two depending on how loose you want it to be.

This rashguard fits as it should, except the arms are a bit tight, my son is skinny. He needed some help to get it in his arms properly. If he had bigger arms I would probably come back. I know they have to be snug and that's for sure lol! He's 6. Overall I'm happy with him for the price and size.

Ordered for my son based on the reviews. I was looking for size 10/12. He's just leaving the 8/10 Target brand. This is a photo of his current swimsuit (Target M Husky (he's not a Husky by any means, but last year he was more mid-size). The large size is significantly smaller than the Revain.

I used the spreadsheet and restore to purchase the regular size. Turns out 1-2 sizes smaller than expected. My child is very slim and wears a size 14. I bought a size XL and it runs small.

DO NOT BUY! I ordered a LARGE size for my 8 year old which says it fits a size 10/12. It seriously fits my 4 year old and sits in my hands for too long. The fit is sooo wrong. You have to order a few sizes larger.

I chose them to match my son's patterned swimming trunks. It's made from swimwear material and not some weird shirt blend like other brands, so it's just right for him to wear to the pool so his shoulders and back don't even burn from sunscreen. Fits as expected.
