🐱 Cat Scratching Post with Toy by Amazon Basics Review

If you have an adult cat I would recommend a more durable perch. This post is lightweight and will tip over if scraped. Also slips on carpet. My cat hates it and has found a new scratching spot on my couch. :(

Well designed, but there is one major drawback. The base is too narrow and when my cat pulls her claws on it, she tips over and almost falls or falls on her. We ended up ordering another one with a much wider base.

Disappointed with this product as it is only 21" tall! Reads 25"! Doesn't it! There is a stick with a spring toy which you put in it yourself and it just floats there! You can pull it out at any time! It's not safe! Not 25 inches tall at all!

Made from durable material and delivered quickly but my cat tried to use it but fell and hit him in the face. I got it because the Walmart one rips after about a month because it has seaweed in the middle and this one has a rope so I figured it would last longer. I found out it was true because my cat wouldn't even use it because the rope is so strong that when he first used it his claws got tangled in it and he pulled it towards him. In the end I just had to go back to Walmart.

Cons: The base is slippery and had to be sanded down so my cats could at least stand on it while playing. It's shorter than I thought. the ball is a bit short. Ok, my cats love him. My big friend likes nothing better than to lie down on the base and play with the ball! He would do this all day if he didn't have other things like food and using the litter box! This is a 2 year review! We have 2 cats who are 3 and 4 years old. Months. The biggest problem we had with other towers was that the cats scratching the rope would wear down the rope and break it at weak points, even if the rope was still in good condition elsewhere in the tower.
