Press the equalizer button

Worked horribly at first. The screen freezes for one of 10 seconds. Then I thought about hitting the equalizer button. Now everything works great. I used this with a 1080p 100ft Cat 6 Powered Splitter.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Two of two bad units

The first transmitter/receiver pair worked fine for 3 months (1080p on 40ft Cat6) and then the video (but not the audio) started to drop out briefly every few minutes. Revain sent a much worse replacement: no sound and pixelated video.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons

Doesn't support 1080P over 40ft CAT6

720P works but doesn't connect to 1080P over 40ft CAT6 UTP quality at all. The same run mostly works with passive HDMI to CAT5/6 adapters at 1080P. Only with an annoying dropout every 2-5 minutes. I will return them and try another brand.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons

It works great in cables and connectors

Used to play HDMI video on a large ship. At that time only Cat5E cable was on board. Run at least 100 feet. This is impressive since the goal is to display text and graphics. The picture is clear and no one can tell that the source isn't connected directly with an HDMI cable. Sometimes the image gets lost when the ship's engines are running at high speed. I believe better cable shielding would eliminate the interference.

Not the best picture quality.

Use pin extender for FIOS STB. The image has a random distribution of white pixels and does not respond well to videos with high contrast areas. I installed two CAT6 cables to the tv as I wanted to use the other for internet access to disconnect the tv from wifi. Both cables (about 60 feet each) show the same "glow" effect on the screen. Bought new CAT6 just for this job and didn't use CCA, all copper.

Pros
  • Positive only

  • Unreliable

Doesn't support 1080p over long distances

I was trying to use it to transmit an HDMI signal over 200ft Cat 6 and the signal dropped at 1080p every few seconds. It worked fine when I dropped the resolution to 720p, but while I can't find it in the description now, it swears it's rated for that 1080p distance. Anyway, I tried another brand (OREI 330-EX) and it was worse and didn't work at all even though it was rated for 300+ feet. The third brand I tried, the J-Tech HD BitT model, ended up working as expected. So if you're runningโ€ฆ

Through trial and error it works.

I was struggling to get this thing to work. I have 2 rooms that need to share this tv box. Both rooms have 1 ethernet cable. The set-top box receives a signal to its room on line 1. I was hoping that this gadget would work with a switch. It's not like this. It also doesn't work with an Ethernet splitter. My final attempt was to run a new ethernet cable from the set top box room straight into the second TV room. It worked. But you must keep the run as short as possible. Also, this gadget is very

Randomly gives a black screen for a few seconds.

I am using this from a home theater receiver (HTR) to a projector about 25 feet away. I'm using the new CAT-6 cable I bought with it and it works for 1080p x60FPS. Most of time! A black screen appears for 1-2 seconds about every 20 or 30 minutes. I tried several different HDMI cables between the HTR and the transmitter box and also at the end of the projector. Even bought some short 4K HDMI cables but still got that random black screen. I swapped everything out and hooked up an HDMI cable forโ€ฆ

Did what I needed

I bought it and then returned it but while I had it the product worked for me. I originally needed this because my computer is in the guest room and my TV is in the living room. I wanted to be able to play PC games in the living room so I took this and tried it out. This worked well enough, but I ended up with some screen cracking/odd color textures, so I returned it. However, I will say that it definitely could have been the ethernet cable I bought and not those extension cords. I haven't hadโ€ฆ
