This is the second one I've bought. This is perfect for our 8 pound poodle. I like that the seat belt goes through the strap on the bottom of the seat and secures the seat securely. The covers can be removed for cleaning if necessary. I have no disadvantages. Only time will tell if the foam frame will hold up.

My Boston weighs 19 pounds and it fits the seat perfectly. It can curl up or stick its head out. It also elevates her so she can comfortably look out the window. The only negative I noticed is that the small shirt leash that attaches to the seat is not long enough to put on and get up to look out the window with the pillow placed inside. The seat closes with a zipper so that it can be removed and washed. The seat is super soft! I'm glad I bought this chair for my girl!

This dog car seat is terrible.1. The leash clip is not attached to the seat itself. it is sewn into the seam of the cover. My Chihuahua was able to jump out of the car seat and hang himself, dragging the pillow and blanket behind him2. These pillowcases do not have a membrane/barrier. On the 3rd day of use, my dog got sick in the seat and vomit dripped onto the upholstery material itself, which cannot be cleaned. I threw everything in the trash. Do not buy this product.

My dog is approximately 15-20 inches tall and 22 inches long. If that is too small for you, you can simply buy an extension cable specially made for the car. Love it! My dog loves to get on my lap while driving and even with the cheap old car seats he had he would try to get on my lap.
