Invest in a more expensive product

Absolutely terrible product. If you have ever cooked with an actual cast iron skillet, you know this product is a scam. I grew up with my mom's favorite cast iron skillet and loved its versatility. I should have known better than to skimp on quality for the price. This product is flavorless, food burns very easily, heat spreads everywhere and it smokes like CRAZY. Very satisfied: pots and pans

I'm not an expert but I've been cooking with irons for several years (all types and brands passed down from parents and grandparents). CONS: 1) Poor flavor, 2) Rough finish. 1) When moving the pan, I noticed that the spice rubs off the bottom very easily. But if you season your iron properly, the problem is solved. 2) Rough finish, but almost all brands have a rough finish now. This thing is freaking huge

Okay to be honest. I'm not a very good cook and have spent very little of my adult life learning this. I've been trying harder lately (hence this purchase), but it's still a slow process. However, I had no idea that a 15 inch pan is gigantic. When I bought this I guess I thought I was going to order a regular size pan, so the huge box by my door was a surprise.
