This thing is freaking huge

Okay to be honest. I'm not a very good cook and have spent very little of my adult life learning this. I've been trying harder lately (hence this purchase), but it's still a slow process. However, I had no idea that a 15 inch pan is gigantic. When I bought this I guess I thought I was going to order a regular size pan, so the huge box by my door was a surprise. So it's not the option I wanted to use when cooking something just for myself since it's so big and heavy. But then I thought, okay, at least I can make a few batches of stuff with this and keep them for lunch for a week. So I tried making arepas out of it (if you don't know what that is, imagine cheesy Cuban pancakes made with cornmeal instead of pancake flour). It did not work. While I had room to make 4 "pancakes" at once, the pan was hot in the center and cold around the edges, so they didn't cook evenly. I'm not sure which oven has burners large enough to even use such a large pan. You should probably use a pan like this for liquid based things, although I'm not sure how you're ever going to stop something like that from splattering all over the kitchen because they even make lids big enough to fit in this thing to fit? Maybe you should use it at the stake? Maybe other people have the answers to these questions. I wish it was clearer in the product description that this thing is that big because no one puts a tape measure in their oven before ordering a kitchen utensil to measure relative size. So before you buy it, make sure you know this thing is gigantic.
