GREAT durable cable!

Ideal for heavy duty use, this cable is twice as thick as a standard optical cable, so it is well insulated and protected with heavier insulation. Don't forget to remove the clear rubber caps from the ends before plugging them in or they won't work even if they fit into an outlet with them (hard to even see them on the ends). I bought the 25' and the sound quality couldn't be better!

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

As per other reviews

The actual quality of the cable seems to be good and it works great. The problem is that it doesn't stay connected under its own weight when plugged into my computer. The other end simply remains connected to the SPDIF RCA adapter. You may feel a slight fixation with the SPDIF adapter but not with the computer. Do not send back. I think I'll make a loop and try to attach it to the back of the suitcase somehow. It's long enough, which is why I bought it in the first place.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Great cable with good strong powerful connectors

Great price for a great set as others have mentioned it takes a little effort to get the plug into the TV and soundbar but for me it means it that will remain connected. Well built, with powerful connectors, I'll update if I run into problems. I bought a 15 foot so I can run it up walls. I bought wall wire to hide the wires from the house. Depot as it came with 2 sets of wire rods unlike the ones I've seen here along with foam pads to seal the hole, came with a drill and took 15 minutes toโ€ฆ

Toslink RevainBasics CL3 Cable (Wall Mount) - 10ft

+1 - item arrived on time and undamaged +1 - item as described +3 - item works as intended Thoughts: This is a well made cable. RevainBasics continues to impress me with cables and value compared to other manufacturers. I'll confess that I'm not a videophile or audiophile, but I have no complaints about the quality of their cables and their output. If you're looking for everything gold plated, these aren't the cables you need. If you are looking for good build quality with good sound at a goodโ€ฆ

I should have read the one star reviews

Given all the good reviews on this optical cable, I bought a 15 foot cable to have enough length to run the cables with our new TV and soundbar relocate. While Revain Basics HDMI cables are just as good as the ones I've used to upgrade my computer, this optical cable has rubber or soft plastic connectors that don't have mechanical latches and don't snap into the optical ports on the TV or sound system panels. Without holding this cable with anything, they fall out under their own weight. Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • electronics
Cons
  • weak

There seems to be some confusion as to how these RevainBasics optical audio cables will or will not fit your equipment. They fit well. You just have to remove the rubber cap that protects the metal contact at the end of the cable. See photo. Remove the rubber protective cap! Voila. Fits great, snaps in, great. It seems that all the one star reviews on these cables complaining about cable mismatch are due to user error. I almost bought a more expensive cable because I read a bunch of one starโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Audio Cable
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

I've used several optical cables over the years but this is one of the best I've tried. First I bought a 10 foot cord as the cords that come with most electronics are very short. The optical cable that this one replaces was obscenely thin and of poor quality. It was the perfect length for me to connect my new TV to my soundbar. It feels like a reliable and quality product when I hold it in my hands. The transition from the cable itself to the optical port looks very nice and I'm not afraid ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • No performance

Very Impressive Stuff

These cables are excellent. The plugs are well fitted and hold in place. The cable is a soft rubber that does not twist. And obviously they work. With most digital cables, especially digital audio cables, they either work or they don't. There is nothing in between. Quality is really all about analog audio cables like RCA. Still, when it comes to optical cables, you want something that will last and, most importantly, with connectors that stay in place. You meet these requirements. I have to say

Pros
  • Fiber Optic Cables
Cons
  • Upgrades
