- Wonderful word processor! Three different cores As a sort of gift from AMD, there is a possibility that you will receive an entire core when you unlock the fourth core. In Battlefield 3, having the core unlocked results in a significant increase in framerate. My core was unlocked, but playing games with it causes artifacts. To get rid of them, I had to increase the voltage to 1.4 volts, and then they went away. The core was deemed unusable since it was unable to function at the typical 1.35V. It was merely stress, which was a fortuitous break for me. The kernel was successfully unlocked on a friend's computer despite the absence of any jambs in the system. The processor was identified as an AMD Phenom II x4 B50 3.2GHz after the kernel was unlocked in both the BIOS and Windows operating system.
