American Crafts Healing Cutting 24 Inch Review

The quality of this mat is not the same as the others I have received. I've been using it for my sewing business for two weeks. It was very nice but started to peel off worse than the spinning mat I had for 2 years! I wouldn't call it self-healing. i give it back It was very cute but if you are a heavy seamstress I do not recommend this brand. Choose original brands!

It was misleading that it was called American Crafters because it originated in China. It came in a box with a rolled up mat and sticker. I would pay a higher price for a US made rug that comes in a box that sits evenly and securely on the rug. The carpet is of good weight and a beautiful pink colour. Haven't checked the markings yet.

I don't use this cutting mat, but use it as a mousepad-like "serviette" on my desk. I draw on it, eat on it, craft on it, paint on it, etc. It's easy to clean and won't scratch my cheap desk! It's a great shade of pink too! Not too dark but not super bright either. The size is just right for my desk, it's big but doesn't take up the desk itself. It is very light, so it can be easily removed from the workplace.

I bought this cutting mat because I love this color! I haven't cut anything on it yet. But I already love it! It fits nicely on my desk and it's reversible which is nice. My only complaint is that it has small imperfections like tiny dents here and there. Luckily they aren't too flashy. The sticker was also a bit of an issue as it left really sticky marks that took some effort to wipe off. There's still residue in there and my hand is still stuck to the mat so I have to wipe it off some more…

I already have several self-healing cutting mats. One big enough to cover most of my desk - I think it's 24" x 36". I love that I can write on it without worrying about cutting up my desk or accidentally spilling paint/ink/glue/etc. on my desk and I love the smooth writing surface that creates a good self-healing mat.
