The name speaks for itself. I bought these to replace the OEM American Standard on our toilet that uses a metal wing nut. The EOM cap doesn't stay up at all (a light breeze common in the bathroom knocks it off). These screws are tight and the cap is held in place with a plastic nut on the sides. I was a bit concerned about how to attach them as I had already cut the bolts onto the nuts. But they are designed to replace your nuts, not sit on them. In fact, they won't lay flat unless the inside of the plastic nut is completely flush with the bottom of the tank.
