🚽 Superior Performance: American Standard 738995 0020A Champion Polished Toilet Review

This pen works great and I'm happy with it. However, from very cheap materials. It costs a lot more if you go direct to the manufacturer (MUCH MORE) so I got it from Revain at a reasonable price and I hope it lasts longer than the last one that came with the toilet. and thus identical.

This was an exact replacement for the original and fits better than the 'universal' lever I bought at the hardware store to keep the toilet running. A bit pricey for what it is, but I think the American Standard has quite an audience. Note: To verify the correct replacement, the appropriate model number is stamped on the inside of the tank and there is a cross reference to the part number on America Standard's website.

Did some research and made sure this handle would fit my toilet and read the reviews! Was concerned by reviews saying it was plastic but advertised metal which I felt was too long. This is almost the same as my US standard toilet so it fits perfectly and works well! Let me know how long the last plastic bottle that came with the toilet lasted almost 7 years!

They used to make these parts out of real metal. And they kept going. No longer. Now everything is plastic. And this company is called American Standard. If this is the "standard" then we have serious problems. I had to order two of these because the first one broke, broken worse than the part it replaced. Luckily the second one was intact. I can wash the potty again. Hooray. You need to get back to making these things strong, not cheap.

I bid on this unit as I couldn't find the exact part for my model number. Sometimes I can be anal and try to be precise. In any case, the part looked like what I needed it to look like. Installation took two minutes. Although I had to go to my tool box a few times, LOL at the end. My wife and I no longer have problems with the toilet. wok, and while OEM is terribly expensive, the cheap stuff just isn't worth buying.

I have 4 homes, 3 rental homes and one that I live in. I've found that the AS Champion 4 toilets almost never clog, so I only use this toilet. Over the years I've replaced all of my toilets so I now have 8-10 of them. The problem is the flush lever. This lever (738995-0020A) is a standard toilet lever. But it's garbage. The best replacement choice is US 738772-0020A. It's metal, and so far I haven't had a single breakdown like this.

This is an expensive and flimsy but essential part of my toilet. I'm actually criticizing the part it replaced. I think it should be possible to create a flush lever that doesn't break down over time. But this device came along, and now rinsing has become almost (!) a chore. Unfortunately I think the rest of the insides of the toilet cistern may need to be replaced. The rubber seal designed to prevent the toilet from filling is unreliable. Terrible! The SHARP EDGES on the handle literally cut your fingers when you squeeze them to flush. The long, pointed edge of the handle hangs over the bowl and feels sharp too. The design has you holding the pen at an extreme angle. WTF? Such cheap plastic and horrible design - how does this product even exist?
