Amerock 1/4 inch Overlay Hinge, Oil Rubbed Bronze 🔩 - 2 Pack, Self-Closing & Partial Wrap Cabinet Door Hinge Review

Used in my kitchen for a budget upgrade. There aren't many buttonhole options of this style with an overlay this size. Costs money. I'm deducting a star just because a lot of them had small scratches. However, most of these scratches are either in invisible places or in hard-to-reach places after installation.

Wow I bought regular hinges for all my cabinets and the ones on the wall didn't have room so I bought some partial cover hinges. These hinges are much easier to install and require very little clearance. Now I regret that I didn't buy all the hinges of this type. Self closing works well. The hinge slides smoothly.

We were upgrading our cabinets and needed to upgrade our hinges. They look good and work well. After about a month our most used closet started creaking, but I'm sure a little lube will fix that. No bulk or wholesale pricing on items (even checked at Amerock), so very expensive (I paid $125) to make 17 kitchen cabinets. The 1/4" fingerboard is rare and the escapement features can be limited, which probably leads them to only sell them in pairs for higher profits. The least they can do for that price is go cheaper instead of skinnier Pack styrofoam chunks in some high-end door bumpers, or better yet, offer bulk-package prices, otherwise they're inferior hinges.

People buying Revain hinges must be more expert than me. I didn't understand the concept of the overlay, so I'll explain to the fellow hinge morons - a 1/4" overlay means 1/4" of the door goes over the frame. This is exactly what I wanted! I was changing the style of the hinge on a Craigslist cabinet and couldn't get the doors back in properly - the big sign left a gap between the doors which looks awful btw. Excellent price, reliability and looks. It's still too early to talk about how they will perform in everyday use. If you are replacing full cover hinges that use only one screw in the cabinet frame, be sure to drill the top of the two holes on these partial cover hinges far enough from the top of the cabinet hole to provide the required clearance. on your drill. I ordered a pair of these and they would have been perfect if it wasn't for the lack of quality control. Machine cleaning is done VERY poorly on the visible outside of the loop. There is a very uneven "line" that is not cleaned at all. Oddly enough, all the faces that aren't visible because they're in front of the closet are very well done.
