It didn't work for me: Autosound

I muted the sub, didn't let all the lows through. I ended up buying an amp with a built in crossover and now my subwoofer sounds like it should.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • So-so

Good value for money good for equalizer

I used this to connect my amp and my subwoofer. My subwoofer doesn't have frequency control, this works fine and I can cut the high frequencies for the subwoofer. The whole structure is made of metal, except for the handles. Seems well done.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • sad packaging

Not a real crossover but ok for the price

This is not a real crossover, behaves more like a variable frequency equalizer with gain control which will probably suit most people who don't. I don't know the difference. But if you're looking for a true crossover/low pass filter, keep looking.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Durable

Get your automotive electronics work done

I had a subwoofer and needed more bass from the sound setup, but connecting directly to the audio output resulted in very harsh bass trying to reach higher ranges than intended. This equalizer makes it possible! Just split left/right audio output and run the subwoofer through this thing, voila, everything sounds great!

Pros
  • Big bandwidth
Cons
  • Very expensive

It actually works best in car electronics

I used an old subwoofer on my computer and didn't want to use the subwoofer on my sound card. So I just split the left/right main out and sent one channel to the subwoofer. It works fine, but the sub doesn't have its own crossover. This little box fixed everything. No more dirt. Good tight bass and remote subwoofer volume control (gain). Works perfectly. No distortion at all. I'm still shocked that it's in a nice sturdy metal case. It's well built and works great. Almost something from the 70s.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Everything is great

Works to drive bass to subwoofer - great

My F150 didn't have a subwoofer connector and the vehicle specific kicker had a speaker wire connector. Thus, high, mid, and low frequencies are sent to the subwoofer, making the sound distorted and hard to hear. Added this adapter that pulled out mid/high frequencies and sent low frequencies, it sent deep low frequencies, no, but wasn't looking for it, just looking for a nice kick and it delivers it. Sounds exactly what I wanted, I'm going to install this adapter next to the OBDII port so I…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Minor issues

Blow expectations out of the water!

Given the low price and size of this crossover, I didn't expect it to work so well! Let me hear you in the video I've attached to this review. The case is solid metal so I expect it to last a long time. I ended up adding a few small notches to the device myself that I felt was missing and this makes it very easy to set up in no time. As long as you have an RCA audio cable to connect to, it can be plugged into almost anything (speakers, amplifier, car stereo, etc.) and it will work. I needed…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The last piece of the puzzle!

Used this filter between a Sony 2.0 channel receiver and an old Cambridge Soundworks subwoofer. The frequency and gain control worked well to get just the deep bass out of the receiver's RCA output ports. Sony came highly recommended for my new turntable for better sound quality than receivers twice the price. I finally unwrapped a 30 year old Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble speaker that has never been used. The deep bass from this inexpensive filter helped complete an already great sound system…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Easy to install and works as advertised

After building my own professional PA sound system I found some discrepancies between several subwoofers. A pair of subwoofers was clearly too loud and had an annoying frequency "hump" in the mid-bass. This inexpensive, easy to install and use device solved both problems. Just plug it in via the RCA jacks (no power required) and set the volume and cutoff controls to your liking. The audio geeks among us might want to use frequency test tones and a dB meter to get a perfect match. It's perfectly

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
