Worked once for Computers & Accessories

After sitting at the car's CAN bus for 30 minutes and capturing frames, the car's information display began to reset. After testing the insulation, this tester was found to produce about 2.5V on the CAN L and CAN H wires. The car is used but in good condition and has no electrical problems. Never worked once.

I bought two of these on separate occasions hoping the first one was defective. They were never forced to work. They send messages to your canbus, but this has never worked for monitoring. All settings, data transfer rate and network settings passed. You'd be better off splurging on the de facto industry standard Microchip for $100.

Used once normally. died after a few uses.

If you need software, just go to seeedstudios. They sell a similar device and the software on their github worked fine. You will find versions 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 and 8.0 which I found. Most likely there are others. I prefer 7.2+. I hooked it up a few weeks after some testing and now it's transmitting but not receiving. So I have a choice: buy again and hope for the best or find something more expensive. Much luck.
